"A cry was heard in Ramah- weeping and great mourning. Rachel weeps for her children, refusing to be comforted, for they are dead."
-Matthew 2:18
While Angels sang Peace to Men, Herod's sword turned Red! Alas tis' Ramah's streets littered with kids Blood. Yet The Manger ain't stained cause Calvary lies in wait.
Mary's just got to cope, for who'd believe a Virgin just got pregnant. Joseph is a devout man, who'd say that ain't just a claim. And Jesus Christ is God made flesh who wouldn't say that's just insane!
How joyous the sadness to be Born just for Contradictions. What Painful Christmas with the Cross in plain sight. For he shall save his people from their sins comes at a Price.
This is to that Family whose tears this season is a reminder of Rachel of Ramah. To the little boy who's been born into the world for which we rejoice, and on the other hand groan, for we know in this world he's been but born for tribulations!
To the one who's Christmas ain't got no Jingle bells! To the one who's hopes and earnest expectations is once more deferred! To the One who's been persecuted on account of the faith! And to a world stained in sin yet bought by God's own blood.
"Glory to God in highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased."
-Luke 2:14
